Cylindrical Roller Bearing |

This type bearings are used for heavy duty applications
as they have a better load carrying capacity than ball bearings.
A cage evenly spaces the balls around the raceways. The rollers
are located axially by flanges on the inner or outer or both
raceways. Depending on the combination of flanges used the bearing
may or may not axially locate the shaft. A common arrangement
is to use a non locating roller bearing at the loaded end of
the shaft and a ball bearing to locate the shaft at the other
end.
